Nthabiseng Boledi Kekana South African, b. 1999

"I draw my influence and inspiration from many sources, such as my subconscious mind serving as a vessel of counsel from my ancestors and Ramsedi (God). Inspiration is sourced from everything that evokes and awakens me - [including] artists, such as Wangechi Mutu, Alberto Giacometti, Mmakgabo Sebidi, Kamala Ibrahim Ishag, Credo Mutwa, and Claude Monet, to mention a few - but nature is the ultimate source of inspiration".

Nthabiseng Kekana is an artist born in Johannesburg and raised in Alexandra. She is currently living and practicing in Alexandra. Nthabiseng started drawing in her early primary school years and later went to the National school of the Arts, where she majored in Three Dimensional Design.
She grounds her work in spirituality and uses a harmonic range of mediums from acrylic, oil paint, charcoal, pastels, natural fibres, and more to express the fluidity of creation and to further explore the expression of the God consciousness as an extension of our existence.
