“Ndizalwe Nge ngubo emhlophe”| I was born wrapped in a white blanket series produced in Antibes, France during the Undiscovered Art Residency

This work embodies Wolf’s characteristic natural materialism in the earthen paint mixing, inspired traditional African architecture and rock art. This painting depicts two figures protecting a home. In the artist’s own words, “Blackness is vital in my work because it is created by a black woman despite the medium or language it speaks. It is vital because proof of existence is rare in the black community. I express my yearning for answers and clarity in ways that make my blackness clear even when the work is abstract.” This work reflects two figures protecting the home.
